What HouseUp does

HouseUp is an online marketplace for private (For Sale By Owner) home sales in Canada. Homeowners create a listing for their property, reach buyers directly, and manage the sale themselves, bringing in a real-estate lawyer or notary to close. We also connect sellers with home-service professionals who help get a home ready to sell.

HouseUp is a listing platform, not a licensed real-estate brokerage. We don't list homes on MLS® or REALTOR.ca; that access is controlled by licensed brokerages.

Where we operate

HouseUp is built for Canada first: provinces, postal codes and Canadian closing practice, and also lists homes in the United States and, in a separate international section, elsewhere.

Who runs HouseUp

HouseUp is operated by House Up Inc., a small team that has worked on this marketplace since its first version. We are not real-estate agents and we don't take a commission on any sale.

How listings are moderated

Listings and professional profiles are reviewed before they appear publicly. Each submission moves through an approval process, and our team can approve, reject, or remove content that doesn't meet our standards. This is a genuine part of how the platform works today.
